Ipoh is known as “San Seng,” which means “city surrounded by mountains” in Cantonese, the so-called eating in “San Seng”, eat in Ipoh! There’s a street called Rainbow City which has about 50 stalls selling local foods which are very famous like stall no 42. curry noodles, stall no 18. Zhu Chap Chuk (Porridge), stall no 26 Leong Pui Kee Ngap Kuak Pau, mix fruit ice and Wan Tau Long, a dessert that can be only found in Ipoh. Ipoh people prefer noodles, so it is easy to find famous pasta whether it is at breakfast, lunch, dinner or supper. This is Ipoh’s food culture.
